Edm Operator

**Job purpose**

Program and operate wire and spark erode machines within Hyspec for the manufacture of components to the specifics of customer drawings and requirements

**Main duties**
- Ensure that all Company quality parameters and procedures are complied with and that all products manufactured meet the required standards and specifications
- Ensure all work is carried out in a safe manner in compliance with the company’s H & S Policy and procedures
- Ensure the highest standard of hygiene and housekeeping are maintained in all areas
- Program and operate all EDM machines within the area
- Carry out first line maintenance on machines and complete all related documentation
- Highlight and communicate any issues throughout the manufacturing process that is affecting the component of the machine
- Ensure with regard to HSE within your area, ensuring 5S standards are adhered too and actions from action trackers are completed
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities and ensure activities are achieved

**Person Specification**

**Essential**

**Qualifications**
- Time served apprenticeship or equivalent experience SVQ 3/NVQ 3

**Experience**
- Ability to use all types of measuring equipment required within a sub contract machine shop environment
- Ability to operate wire erode and spark machines

**Knowledge**
- Good working knowledge of Health and Safety ISO 9001
