Social Media Coordinator

**Remote with occasional travel to Oxfordshire office**
**The role**
To help manage company social media presence by developing original content and suggesting creative ways to help communicate with our digital audience. Tasks will include managing our online communities, scheduling content, helping produce reports, and managingPPC campaigns. The goal is to drive engaged traffic to company and project websites and increase brand awareness. The role will work closely with the social media manager and requires close collaboration with company marketing and communications teams as wellas the PR Manager to ensure consistent, complementary, and well-timed messaging.
**Responsibilities**
- Help develop and implement a social media strategy supporting company’s wider communications and organisational strategies
- Manage the day-to-day scheduling of all primary company social media accounts and oversee and support any project or programme accounts (using Hootsuite)
- Generate, edit, adapt, and share engaging original content as well as content based on other communications outputs (e.g., blog posts, press releases, events, etc.)
- Work with company’s Design team to create multimedia content
- Help set-up, optimize and report on PPC social media campaigns
- Oversee and update social media accounts designs (e.g., Facebook timeline cover, YouTube channel layout)
- Undertake social media audience and competitor research
- Suggest and implement new features to develop engagement and brand awareness
- Stay up to date with current best practices and technologies in social media
**Skills**:
- Proven experience as a social media coordinator
- Experienced in multiple social media platforms
- Excellent communication and copywriting skills (for social media)
- Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)
- Knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics
- Familiar with online marketing strategies and marketing channels
- Educated to degree level, or with equivalent experience in a similar role
- **Team player**: works effectively with a wide range of individuals to achieve company communications aims
- Brings a strong team spirit and vision to the organisation.
- Self-motivated. Looks to continuously improve processes.
- Highly organised but flexible to change. Actively prioritises activities and meets deadlines
- **Degree**in marketing, communications, PR or advertising (desirable)
- Experience with (digital) marketing in international development, for NGOs or charities (desirable)
