Temporary Accommodation Officer

Apricus Resourcing are looking for experienced temporary accommodation officers for an ongoing locum role based in Whitechapel with a leading housing organisation.

Within your role as an Accommodation Officer you will be participating in a payment-by-results initiative that centres on achieving specified outcomes for a caseload of priority need families currently housed in temporary accommodation. You will provide holistic support, formulate, and execute settlement plans, and work towards securing and sustaining accommodation in the private rented sector while promoting integration into their new community

**Key duties for the role will include**:

- Coordinate a frontline service for families currently housed in temporary accommodation, facilitating their move into private rented sector or alternative accommodation pathway.
- To deliver against all sets of individual financial outcome targets and service standards on a weekly basis.
- To undertake comprehensive assessments and ongoing reviews of client’s needs, options and opportunities by creating focused and co-produced settlement Plans and agreeing actions to improve their housing options and integration into their new community. Including the wider support planning, linking with education, employment, health and other support providers and agencies.
- To actively work with clients to relieve their homelessness by assisting them to secure accommodation in private sector or other housing pathways.
- Travel may be required for property viewings with individuals and building relationships with local organisations to ensure the successful integration of families into their new communities and tenancy sustainability.

In order to be considered for the role you will need a proven track record of working within housing and/or homelessness settings along with knowledge and understanding of the Homelessness Reduction Act and Housing Act 1996. You will also need previous experience in sourcing, negotiating, and maintaining relationships with agents and landlords in the private rented sector.

In return for your dedicated the service can offer an ongoing locum position working Monday - Friday 9-5 with a pay rate on offer of £16.25/h.
