**Job description**:

- Build strong networks both internally and externally by working with Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO), Ministry of Defence, Air Commercial, Air Infrastructure colleagues, Group HQ staff and wider stakeholders (including directly liaising with industry and the FDIS Suppliers (through DIO)) to inform and develop opportunities across the Air Estate. Build and maintain external networks to access technical and professional best practice through Land Management Service and commercial colleagues. Liaison with Army, Navy and Strategic Command colleagues will be key to developing this picture across the MOD estate and identifying best practice.
- Analyse performance data, looking to identify areas for improvement and collaboration for future income generation initiatives. Consider whether the resource, time and effort involved is proportionate to the potential income /commercialisation opportunities and the benefits to be realised. Additionally, the post holder should establish whether there are other available options to increase income generation and/or make more efficient use (including energy efficiency / generation) of the Air Estate. Identify the future capacity and capability needs of the project and put in place a business case and resources to meet those needs.
- Identify and swiftly progress income generation opportunities, obtain business case approvals and address policy and implementation challenges across the estate, whilst also providing peripatetic support at Implementation Sites.
- Manage and achieve identified targets from either MOD and/or Air Cmd direction. Report and update ACOS Infra and DACOS Infra on performance and achievements and liaison/engagement with stakeholders to share this information, at least monthly or on request.
- Provide visible and effective leadership, lead the team to deliver the benefits and outcomes. Responsible for all line management and development responsibilities for 3 x Commercial Agency posts (lifed).
