**Trainee Design Engineer | Dartford | 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day) | £16,000 to £20,000, depending on experience**

founded in 1987 Walker Mower is a consulting engineering practice specialising in mechanical, electrical, MEP and other associated elements for the construction industry.

You will be a highly motivated individual to join our design engineering team in the design and development of residential and commercial projects.

You must have the ability to work within a team efficiently with a high level of precision, and have strong interpersonal and communication skills. Attendance at a university scheme can be achieved part-time within our employment.

**Are you the right person for us?**

The following criteria are essential for this role
- 5 GCSE’s (Level 5 to 9)
- Knowledge of Computing and Design (or equivalent)
- Knowledge of CAD & Revit
- Analytical and numeracy skills
- The ability to work in a team and individually
- Effective communication skills to liaise with team members, clients, contractors and others involved in the design process
- Time management and organisation
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Flexible approach to work and the ability to adapt to change
- Driven and self-motivated attitude and ability to use own initiative

**Your role will include but not be limited to**
- Use CAD systems both 2D and 3D Revit
- Undertake complex calculations
- Plan effectively to ensure projects are delivered on time, to a high standard
- Ensure that CAD drawings are prepared, stored, issued and archived in accordance with company procedures
