**Project HSSE Adviser**
**Reporting to the OH&S Manager**
Based in Wilton with frequent UK travel required

**Position overview**:
As a Project HSSE Adviser, you will work with the OH&S Manager in a proactive, effective, and creative way. You will be expected to foster the development of a robust safety culture within your assigned projects, and you will be expected to build strong professional relationships with colleagues and contract partners, to ensure that HSSE objectives are met, and processes are being implemented to the required standard.
You will also act / develop as a Subject Matter Focal Point for an area critical in HSSE service provision (e.g., Construction Design Management Regulations etc.)
**Key responsibilities**:
- Supporting on CDM 2015 related issues with both internal and with external stakeholders.
- Verification auditing of construction phase plans and contractor risk assessments.
- Advise clients and wider team of their responsibilities and duties under the CDM 2015 regulations.
- Liaise with principal contractor and support in compilation of the health and safety file.
- Have a presence an provide updates at SEUK safety committee meetings.
- Assisting with incident and high learning potential event (HLPE) investigations and ensuring that actions are tracked.
- Motivating and encouraging team members, contractors, and employees to meet company objectives for continuous improvement.
- Carrying out HSSE inspections / site audits and intervening where required to drive corrective action.
- Assisting in the development of Risk Assessments, Method Statements, COSHH Assessments, Manual Handling Assessments, DSE Assessments, Fire Risk Assessments, as required.
- Tracking corrective / preventive actions (CAPAs) and intervening where required to ensure that actions are closed-out on time and to the required standard.
- Producing project reports which utilise leading and lagging indicators to track safety performance, ensuring that they are monitored on a regular frequency.
- Assisting in the maintenance and quality control of entries into HSE-related safety databases.
**Essential**
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience as an HSSE Adviser in a hazardous industry (O&G,
- Energy / Utilities, Port Sector, Construction Industry).
- NEBOSH Diploma or OHS/HSE Degree Qualified
- Graduate or higher membership level of IOSH
- Good knowledge of construction and design processes and safety related legislation.
- Good knowledge of CDM 2015 regulations.
- Incident Investigation experience / qualification
- Familiarity with wide range of HSE regulations (especially CDM and Control of Asbestos Regulations)
- Excellent IT Skills (extensive experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Full driving license required.
