**Role**
To provide administrative and secretarial support to the Head of Health, Safety and Wellbeing in the development, management and monitoring of the University's health, safety and wellbeing policies and procedures

**Duties and responsibilities**
- To provide administrative and secretarial support to the Head of Health, Safety and Wellbeing in the development, management and monitoring of the University's health, safety and wellbeing policies and procedures.
- To process invoices and maintain financial records using 'Oracle' financial software.
- To assist with the management of, on behalf of the Head of Health and Safety, the University's Health and Safety training programme, including the booking of rooms, inviting delegates, monitoring training requirements and associated administration.
- To update and maintain computerised databases, in particular, statistical information relating to accidents and records and monitoring relating to Health and Safety roles e.g. Evac Chair Operators, First Aiders, Fire Wardens, DSE Assessors, RA-PEEP Assessors
- To update and maintain external databases such as the Specsavers Corporate EyeCare
- To undertake appropriate professional development and mandatory training activities as identified or required (See Professional Development section).
- To assist in the organisation and arrangements of health and safety seminars and workshops including University hosted events held by external organisations.
- To assist in the provision and distribution of information and communications for students and staff and promotions on WorkVivo.
- Coordinate the diary of the Head of Health, Safety and Wellbeing. To organise internal and external meetings on behalf of Head of Health, Safety and Wellbeing.
- To take minutes at the University Health, Safety and Wellbeing Committee and also similar meetings chaired by the Health and Safety Team, and produce action notes; also to include the collating of files and supporting documents relating to these committees.
- To undertake Display Screen Equipment Assessments in Schools and Services.
- To maintain and update the Health, Safety and Wellbeing pages on the Intranet (Iris) and the website.
- The role holder is required to minimise environmental impact in the performance of their role and to actively contribute to the delivery of the University’s Environmental Sustainability Policy

**Skills and experience**
- Educated to A-level standard or with equivalent experience
- Evidence of progressive professional development
- Experience of working in an administrative role, ideally within a large and complex organisation, preferably with specific knowledge of practice learning activities
