Café Supervisor

**CAFÉ SUPERVISOR**

A Café supervisor at The Apple Pie is a senior member of the team, who oversees the staff and ensures that the business standards are being maintained. As a supervisor you are responsible for working with the team and motivating them to work to a high standard. You would work closely with the operations managers, and café supervisors, to maintain and advance the standards set by the management team.

This would involve:

- Working on the shop floor, with the team daily to support, encourage and get the best out of the crew, providing leadership.
- Ensuring that staff are aware of “The Apple Pie way” of doing things and correcting this where it is not happening.
- Being a positive force at work - inspiring and motivating others to enjoy work and to put in the effort.
- Modelling the behaviour, you want to see. You need to demonstrate the good work ethic, respect for others, team work skills, attendance & timekeeping, that you expect from others.
- Overseeing set up and shutdown.
- Spot checking - dates on products, shelf life on purchased goods, set up and shutdown lists, cleaning jobs etc.
- Training - providing training both with new staff and where retraining is required.
- Inductions - you will be trained to do inductions with new staff.
- Ordering - you will be trained to do inventory and place orders from merchants.
- Maintenance of agreed processes.
- Working with the duty manager in a supportive role.
- As a supervisor you will at times be the duty manager - running the floor on the day, organising breaks and reallocating staff as required
- you will receive full training.

There are a few mandatory requirements for this role:

- a time commitment of 2 years.
- flexibility to cover holidays.
- an agreement to handle sensitive information with strict confidentiality.

**Salary**: From £13.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 35 per week
