Daisy Chain is a well-known and established charity in the Tees Valley which provides specialist support to autistic children, young people, adults, and their families. Daisy Chain is offering a fantastic opportunity for an organised and enthusiastic individual to join our thriving adult services team, as a Digital Inclusion Coach. We are looking for someone with great IT skills and who is passionate about the benefits that being digitally connected can bring to everyone. The Digital Inclusion Coach will play a key role in reducing inequalities for autistic individuals, by empowering young people and adults with the skills and understanding to engage safely and productively with the digital world.

On a day-to-day basis, the post holder will provide accessible, specialist, and outcome-focussed digital inclusion support to autistic and neurodivergent young people and adults, aged 15+. Through the provision of both 121 and group-based activities, the Digital Inclusion Coach will support clients to engage socially online, to understand how to keep safe online, and to develop independent-living and financial empowerment focussed digital skills.

We are looking for someone with a proven track record of delivering successful empowerment-focussed support for clients as well as possessing an up-to-date knowledge of digital skills and the ability to translate this into accessible learning. To be successful in this post, you must be flexible, organised, team spirited and able communicate compassionately and effectively with diverse clients who have complex support needs.

There will be regular travel throughout the Tees Valley, so access to own transport is essential.

Salary-£23,000 per annum (pro rata)

**Key Tasks**

**Operational**
- To develop and deliver a range of digital skills workshops and courses (121/small group), covering the below themes:

- Independent living focussed digital skills
- Financial empowerment focussed digital skills
- Online and digital safety
- Digital social groups and leisure activities
- Work closely with Daisy Chains Senior Adult Services Manager to ensure suitable and timely roll out of the above support, including delivery within outreach facilities across the Tees Valley.
- To be proactive in generating active referral links into the service, including attendance at information events and visiting external organisations to promote and offer the service.
- To deliver bespoke and person-centred support and guidance with digital inclusion, as needed within the remit of the service.
- To adapt approaches and communication in line with individual client needs.
- To be proactive in generating and recording the most impactful, measurable outcomes for clients in line with project specifications, and logging these effectively through the use of Daisy Chains internal CRMS.
- To refer/signpost clients into appropriate external agencies as required.
- To deliver outreach service at community venues.
- To maintain an up-to-date knowledge of digital skills and online safety.
- To work towards and achieve project targets.
- To act at all times in accordance with Daisy Chains policies and procedures.

**Administration**
- To ensure that client referral and support information is collected, used and stored suitably and safely within the context of the service and in line with Daisy Chain policy and procedure.
- To gather client feedback and utilise this information in developing the service.
- To assist with providing information for reports, including the progress and impact of the service.
- To evidence the impact and outcomes of the service through the collection of case studies and efficient and detailed logging of data.
- Under the direction and support of the Senior Adult Services Manager, to contribute towards the development of effective service materials and relevant literature, such as visual tools, information sheets, promotional flyers, and website information.
- To keep detailed case notes, recorded in Daisy Chains secure CRMS.

**Staff and Team Working**
- Work within a team, supporting colleagues and attending team meetings, recording, and sharing information appropriately and confidentially.
- To undertake all mandatory training required for this post and other training and professional development activities as required.
- Undertake other delegated tasks and responsibilities that fall within your capabilities.
