SciPro are currently working with a pioneering pharmaceutical company for the recruitment of a Technical Associate to join its growing Product Development Department. They are based in Cambridge and aim to re-imagine how drugs and services can benefits patientswith rare diseases by using cutting-edge drug delivery technologies to improve efficacy and effectiveness of drugs allowing patients greater freedom and choice. You would be reporting into the Technical Manager while aiming to provide analytic and technicalsupport to all phases of development. While being expected to be on site 3 days a week.

They are working in three areas of pharmaceutical development and work across rare metabolic, immunological and neurological genetic conditions. Their aim is to optimise existing drugs, create new indications for existing drugs and reinstate generic drugspreviously on the market. These three areas of focus are underpinned by their unique formulation technology.

What you will be doing:

- Provides technical / analytic support to development projects from initial trials to commercial launch.
- Provides analytic and technical support to Quality and Regulatory Affairs when required.
- Manages technical development projects with the support of the Technical Manager.
- Ensures Development projects adhere to Cycle's goals, time-lines and costs through efficient vendor management.
- Provides cover for Technical Manager during absences.
- Supports development planning, scope design and issue resolution for formulation development.
- Actively participate in team meetings.
- Maintain knowledge of relevant guidance (in particular US-FDA focused)
- Develops strong working relationships with third party vendors.

Following experience would be ideal:

- Analytic method development and validation
- Risk assessment / Quality by Design
- Vendor management of third party CMOs / CROs
- API development

What else will enable you to thrive:

- Degree or equivalent in a science field (higher degree preferred)
- Drug product formulation development (pharma or academic environment) in at least one of the following: oral solid dose form, solutions and suspensions.
- Application of ICH guidelines
- Highly motivated and enthusiastic with a flexible 'can do' approach
- Ability to work in a proactive and autonomous manner, as well as being part of a team.
- Good project management skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic and hard-working.
- Quality focused and high attention to detail.
- Strong analytic, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Desire to learn quickly while doing the job.
