**Head of Retail**

**Salary up to £46,000 per annum plus benefits**

**Head Office Based - London**

We are partnering with a leading London based children’s charity to secure them a talented and forward-thinking **Head of Retail.**

Reporting into the Deputy CEO you will be responsible for overseeing the operations, sales and profitability of the retail outlets, including responsibility for merchandising and on-line sales and profits.

Leading the e-Bay operations and ensuring growth plans are achieved. With full accountability for the e-Bay P&L. To spot and respond to new opportunities in technology and the marketplace to generate more income. Responsible for managing the Merchandising department to focus on in-store management to ensure smooth running of displays and merchandising. Ensuring merchandising work closely with Store and On-Line areas to maximise customer experience and profits.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Charity leader who will be vital in supporting the growth and development of the charities retail arm.

**Responsibilities of the Head of Retail**
- Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets.
- In partnership with Finance, develop annual budgets to support the Sales objectives and in line with the strategy for retail.
- Recruit, train, develop and motivate a team of staff and volunteers, and ensure a robust and comprehensive induction programme.
- Line manage all staff to ensure day to day operations of the Stores, Merchandising and e-Bay are functioning smoothly and in compliance with local regulations.
- Set performance expectations and conduct regular performance evaluations.
- Foster a customer-centric culture and ensure exceptional customer service at all times.
- Ensure visually appealing and organised store displays and e-Bay merchandising align with brand standards.
- Contribute to the development of annual budgets and take ownership for areas of responsibility.
- Analyse e-Bay and retail sales data, market trends and key performance indicators to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.

- You will have gained substantial experience within the charity retail sector particularly at a senior leadership level.
- Strong business acumen with a solid understanding of retail operations and industry trends.
- Demonstrated ability to drive sales growth and achieve targets.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a customer-focused mindset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Understands value and pricing of online second-hand goods.
- Proficient in using retail management software and point-of-sale systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Working knowledge of eBay and online platforms.
- Excellent time-management, planning and organisation skills.
- Results oriented, targets driven and highly numerate.
- Batchelors Degree in Business Administration, Retail Management or related field is desirable but not essential.
