**Job description**
We are seeking a part-time Receptionist to work 10-15 hours per week over 2-3 days
The shifts will be variable between Mon - Fri, 8:30 am - 6:30pm, working as part of a team of 5 staff.
- Reliable and hard working.
- Able to work in a busy environment, dealing with patients both face to face and over the telephone.
- Must have a good telephone manner.
- Self-motivated and work well as part of a team.
- Flexible.
- Adept at answering questions and dealing calmly with patient queries.
Previous experience of working in a medical practice and using EMIS Web is desirable.
The role involves:
- Making and cancelling appointments.
- Issuing repeat prescriptions.
- Scanning and assigning documents.
- Preferably experience in using clinical read-codes.
- Preferably experience of registering new patients
- If already working in a GP surgery, a Smartcard would be desirable.
