Supporting the management for all key financial Merchandising KPIs across planning, trading and forecasting across the account through reporting and data input. In this customer facing role you will input to the profit plan for a specified area of responsibility and ensure all stakeholders have the right information, at the right time to facilitate right first time decisions across product, finance and supply planning.

Your main responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

- Ownership of singular events or trade calendar ranges
- Support the Merchandising Planning team with analysis to support the management and reporting of everyday ranges, including delivering regular customer reporting requirements.
- Ownership of ad hoc reporting, including: new stores performance, performance of trials, providing reporting to ensure delivery of other functions (eg. Field Merchandising) and one off customer requests.
- Ensuring all financial, external and customer factors are evaluated to deliver accurate ad hoc reporting, giving context to these in the commentary, demonstrating findings and suggesting actions to maximise sales, profit and store performance.
- Delivery of top line trading analysis for review of forward plan and to clearly identify risks and opportunities.
- Support analysis required by the Product & Range team in the Creative Squad to ensure the optimum range is offered at all times.
- Developing the relationship with the Data & Anayltics team to automate day to day and ad hoc reporting.
- Contribute as a functional specialist within wider business initiatives to drive efficiencies, improved ways of working and increased profit.

We're looking for a pro-active, analytical and engaged individual, committed to developing their skills and contributions. To be successful you will need to demonstrate:

- Excellent Excel, numeric and analytical abilities to identify commercial insights relevant to our audience.
- Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a FMCG environment
- Previous experience of working in a retail or supply chain background
- A good understand of the product and retail sales lifecycle
- A confident communicator, able to communicate data and outcomes simply, able to create basic presentations to demonstrate the outcome of analysis.
- To build strong relationships internally and externally, working collaboratively to achieve shared objectives.
- Wider commercial thinking to engage and influence key stakeholders across the business and ensure profit growth is core to all decisions made.
- To be organised, with a keen eye of the details to deliver accountabilities in line with a pre-determined critical date path.
