Loans Officer

**Loans Officer - Ballymena Causeway Credit Union - Ballymena**

Permanent / Full-time / 37.5 hours per week (to include Saturday).

**Job Role**

As the Loans Officer you will be responsible for providing a first-class service to members, specialising in loan facilities with the responsibility for loan sanctioning and working in the best interests of the members, taking into account their individual circumstances and guiding them through the process.

**Essential Criteria**:

- A minimum of 5 GCSE's passed at grade C or above including Maths and English (or equivalent)
- A minimum of 1 year’s relevant financial experience.
- Track record in financial compliance within a relevant business.
- Significant knowledge of credit union issues, legislation, regulation and financial operation.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word and Excel.
- Assimilates complex information quickly
- Well-developed communication skills (including listening, written, influencing and presentational).

**Desirable Criteria**:

- Experience of working in a similar environment
- Awareness of performance standards and regulation in credit union sector
