**Catering Supervisor/Cook**

**Hull**

**Fixed Term - 18 Month Contract**

**Salary: £19,711.89** per annum pro rata**

**37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year**

As our **Catering Supervisor**,** **you** **will support the manager to supervise staff within the catering team to ensure the smooth running on the catering services.

**Responsibilities of our** **Catering Supervisor/Cook**:

- Prepare, cook and serve foods and beverages as required.
- Setup and clear away counter as required.
- Clean and tidy (operate appropriate equipment for completing cleaning tasks), in service, preparation and dining areas.
- Handle cash, operate cash registers and complete cashing up procedures as required.
- Maintenance of temperature monitoring records for hot and cold foods in service and storage areas, in accordance with procedures and legal standards.
- Responsible for ensuring high standards of personal hygiene and cleanliness, ensuring catering hygiene practices are followed at all times in accordance with Food Service Policy, and written/verbal instructions.
- Supervise and organise the Catering team, ensuring legal and procedural standards are adhered to.
- Lead the Catering team and oversee food preparation to agreed standards.
- Organise and undertake cleaning duties within the Catering service and preparation areas.
- Deal with any incidents, complaints or irregularities.

**What we’re looking for in our** **Catering Supervisor/Cook**:

- Level 2 in Food Hygiene Safety
- Minimum of Level 1 in Literacy and Numeracy, or be willing to work towards this qualification
- Supervisory experience in a catering environment.
- Experience in stock control and ordering
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Admin experience, checking and filing catering records and till admin
- Verbal and written communication skills
