RMS are recruiting for a **Lean Practitioner** for an excellent opportunity to join a market leader in the design and manufacture of engineered products in Shildon.

You will be responsible for the successful management and implementation of business improvement projects/initiatives across the business by developing an enthusiastic, motivated, and flexible team(s) and building working relationships ensuring that continuous improvement and efficiencies across the Company’s products, systems, operations and processes.

**You must have a Completed Certification in Lean manufacturing by a Lean approved certification company.**

**Main Duties and Responsibilities will include**:

- Development and regular updates of Lean Roadmap for the production site in close cooperation with the site management
- Definition of required Lean-Activities
- Planning and management of all Lean activities
- Execution of Lean Projects and Kaizen Workshops
- Establish Lean Thinking: Convince and motivate local management and staff
- Develop and execute Lean-Trainings
- Analyze existing processes and highlight weaknesses
- Establish KPIs to control Lean-actions and progress
- Coach the responsible within the departments and manage the members of the core
- Knowledge of methods for production optimization and lean manufacturing
- First experience with project management
- Ideally, experience with lean methods and value stream design
- 3 to 5 years of experience in production related jobs
- Good skill in MS-Office and ERP-systems
- Proficient in English
- Strong identification with Lean Principles
- Independent, structured and goal-oriented way of working to understand cause and effect of problems
- Team player with moderation and presentation skills
- Communicative Leadership style and skills to convince and motivate others.
- Training competence to train colleagues in Lean methods and work instructions
- Acting confident and acceptance on all levels of the hierarchy

The working hours for this role are Monday to Thursday 08:00AM until 4:30PM and Friday 8AM until 4PM. This is a permanent position.
