Join the financial team of an educational setting, supporting with a range of payroll and financial duties whilst putting your numeracy and customer service skills to the test in a role that will get your foot in the door of new potential openingsIn the Payroll Officer job, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring accurate monthly payroll run by processing computerised payroll using payroll databases including setting up new employee records, ensuring associated documentation is authorised and complete, amendments, variations, terminations etc.
- Processing part-time claims and schedule payments
- Calculating SSP, OSP, SMP and OMP for relevant staff
- Providing advice and information when requested and in accordance with the Data Protection Act
- Pension and Payroll Administration; dealing with all aspects of administration and liaising with employees and Pension agencies
- Other duties as requested by the Assistant Director of Finance
- We’d love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Previous payroll, financial and clerical experience
- Excellent numeracy, IT and administration skills including MS Word & Excel and accounts/payroll packages
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work as part of a team, work well under pressure and to strict deadlines
- This is a full time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, covering a 9 month maternity period which is due to start on 4th January. You'll be based in offices in near Rhos on Sea and you'll be on an hourly rate IRO £11.44 p/h plus holiday payIf you are keen to start a new challenge that gets you involved in the education sector then we would love to hear from you.
