**Receptionist/Administrator**:
**Brockenhurst College** are seeking a full time, permanent **Receptionist / Administrator**. This forward-facing post has a competitive salary of **£21,109 to £22,113 per annum **and the opportunity to join a local government pension scheme. You will provide a high standard of friendly and welcoming customer service and administrative support within our Student Services Admin Hub. **The** **Receptionist / Administrator role**:
As **Receptionist / Administrator, **you will provide efficient and effective customer service and clerical support for the reception area within the Student Services Team.

**Responsibilities as our **Receptionist / Administrator** include**:
- Ensure that the reception and office areas are well stocked with current and relevant information and kept tidy.
- Provide clerical support for the main admin team, including special projects, liaising with and assisting staff, tutors, students, volunteers, outside organisations etc.
- Assist with the preparation of notices, posters etc. and the setting up of displays.
- Undertake general office duties, to include filing, distribution of incoming and preparation of outgoing mail.
- Communicating with other departments to ensure the safety of visitors and the high maintenance of the College and its grounds.
- Assist the Attendance Team as and when necessary.
- Attend and participate at training events and staff meetings, as required.
- Any other such duties, commensurate with the grade of post, which may be reasonably allocated.

**The ideal Assessor in **Receptionist / Administrator** will need**:

- A minimum of two years’ experience in an office environment, interacting with the general public
- Experience of assisting a range of different people with diverse needs
- GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent)
- Competent computer skills - able to use Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and the Internet for information retrieval
- Able to demonstrate customer care skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Ability to build a rapport with customers of all kinds
- Flexibility to cover the centre office during the daytime or at weekends at times due to additional workshops or sickness/holiday cover
- Excellent communication skills.
- Able to work under pressure and prioritise appropriately.
