**About The Service**
An opportunity has risen to join the Flood and Coastal Risk Management Team to support the delivery of Cardiff Council’s statutory duties as the SuDS approval Body (SAB) and the management of pumping station and groundwater assets throughout the authority.
**About the job**
Duties include undertaking inspections of SuDS assets pre, during and post construction as well as the inspection and management of the pumping station and groundwater assets.
The post holder will also assist the council’s highways operational teams during periods of inclement weather.
This role will involve a high level of interaction with stakeholders, including; Council Members, public, contractors, external organisations and other Council departments. The post holder may be required to work outside normal hours from time to time, including evenings and weekends.
**What We Are Looking For From You**
Experience in sustainable drainage, civil engineering, flood risk or coal tip management.
Comply with all required legislative and Health and Safety obligations and Council policies and procedures
