**Job Type**:Full-time (permanent) or Part Time (permanent) considered.

**Hours**:25 to 39 hours per week.

**Salary**:Competitive (plus bonus, pension)

Boyd Technologies Ashington UK Ltd are a global leader providing thermal management solutions to major electronics OEMs. The company designs, develops and manufactures advanced cooling solutions for the telecommunication, medical, military, aerospace & space markets. To take advantage of this expanding market we require a highly motivated individual to join our team.

The HR Officer will effectively manage all issues relating to Human Resources, whilst building and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders to ensure HR is able to support the overall business objectives.

**Responsibilities / Key Duties**:

- Prepare contracts of employment, variations and any other contractual changes
- Manage the disciplinary and grievance procedures ensuring compliance at all times
- Ensure business processes comply with employment law knowledge statutory requirements.
- Oversee performance management, including annual appraisals and reviews.
- Prepare and submit Plant and Corporate Monthly HR Reports
- Conduct exit interviews for all leavers
- Partner with management team to deliver key business processes, including salary planning, resourcing, employee development and engagement
- Effectively manage absence, ensuring a consistent approach, using the Bradford Score
- Advise, guide and coach management on employment law and ER issues
- Council and support employees
- Manage all learning and development processes, including the production skills matrix
- Maintain the Employee Handbook, ensuring all policy and procedural changes are legal and effectively implemented and communicated
- Monitor Time and Attendance reports and certify OT data for payroll.
- Maintain payroll system data - salary changes / pension adjustments / shift allowance changes and any other salary amendments.
- Manage and maintain the Investors in People processes and initiatives
- Manage the HR information system, ensuring data is updated and maintained accurately
- Implement monthly payroll amendments including starters/leavers/additional payments etc.
- Negotiate and review contracts with external recruitment partners and training providers

**Qualifications/Requirements**:

- CIPD qualification (either fully qualified or working towards)
- A background of working in a manufacturing or engineering environment is preferred
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of employment law and best practice
- High level of confidentiality & professionalism
- A proactive approach with the confidence to challenge
- Microsoft Office Applications, including Microsoft Word & Excel
- Effective written and verbal communication skills - at all levels
- Excellent organisational skills & ability to work to tight deadlines
- Ability to work on own initiative
