**Job description**

Custody Sergeant - Lateral & Temporary Opportunities

Cheshire Constabulary are looking for a substantive Sergeants or PC's qualified to Sergeant who have passion, drive, enthusiasm and commitment to join the Criminal Justice and Custody Department as a Custody Sergeant. This is a highly challenging role but in return we offer a comprehensive training programme and a role that will offer extensive personal and professional development.

You would be joining a dedicated team alongside other Custody Sergeants and Detention Officers. Your main duties will include managing the safe detention and welfare of detained persons in Custody. You will play a key role in the delivery of an exemplary Custody Service in line with APP and PACE requirements, ensuring effective Criminal Justice outcomes and interventions, overseeing the management of detainees property, engaging with internal and external stakeholders and line managing the Detention Officers within your team.

The available roles will be based out of Middlewich Custody Facility.
