Cleaner/housekeeper

We are looking to recruit a cleaner / housekeeper for a household at Harmony Hall in Milnthorpe, Cumbria. The clients are a busy young professional couple with two friendly dogs. The household is a grade II listed 5 bedroom Georgian manor house originally built in 1819 by sea captain Joseph Fryer.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform general cleaning duties to maintain cleanliness
- Hoovering of the downstairs carpets daily
- Take rubbish and recycling out daily
- Unload dishwasher daily
- Mopping of hard floors as required
- Laundry and ironing
- Changing bedding
- Dust and wipe down surfaces
- Keeping bedrooms guest ready
- Preparing the house for events and functions
- Bathroom and bedroom cleaning
- Clean and sanitize
- Monitor house plants and water when required

**Experience**:

- Must be reliable and have exemplary attendance record
- This job is not suitable for someone who is not reliable or would miss shifts
- Previous experience in cleaning or housekeeping work preferred but not required
- Ability to work independently and to high standards
- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks
- Good time management skills to ensure efficient completion of duties

The position comes with 6 weeks of paid holiday per year and 20% staff discount at the client's pubs in Kendal Ye Olde Fleece Inn, The Duke of Cumberland and The Gateway Inn.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 25 per week
