**The Role**:
**We are looking to recruit a Quality Inspector for our CASWELL FIRESAFE**®** Fire Resisting Ductwork installations. **High demand for our products and services has led to this recently created position. As well as carrying out Site inspections to ensure compliance with specifications and certifying systems, you will carry out site inductions with Ductwork Installers and maintain quality records. You will be working directly for the Technical Manager (Caswell FRD).**
**Main Duties and Responsibilities**
- Protect the company’s position and always represent the company in a professional manner.
- Maintain full understanding of installation requirements for CASWELL FIRESAFE® ductwork installations.
- Follow instructions and carry out works as directed by the Technical Manager liaising with Project Manager(s).
- Carry out site surveys anywhere in the UK, and lodge overnight as necessary.
- Undertake inductions of installers and maintain records.
- Ensure all materials used for the installation are exactly as specified.
- Carry out site inspections and complete applicable Quality Documentation.
- Prepare and issue corrective action notices to installers and close out.
- Check and sign off completed installations.
- Prepare and issue Certificates of Conformity as directed by the Technical Manager.
- Mark-up installation drawings for “As Fitted” purposes for inclusion in project O&M Manuals.
- Keep photographic records of all installations.
- Liaise with the client and Caswell Project Managers.
- Process internal orders (prepare sketches, works orders, site requisitions, delivery notes etc.) as required.
- Follow all company procedures ensuring electronic filing systems are completed accurately.
- Identify opportunities for improvements and put your ideas forward to the Technical Manager.

**Hours of Work**
The core hours are 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday, it may be necessary to work outside your core hours to meet business needs.
**Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience**
Current Full UK Driving Licence (Essential)
Comprehensive experience of sheet metal ductwork installation and ideally fire resisting systems.
Experience of Installer, Supervisor, Engineer or Inspector type role in mechanical services installations.
Previous experience in delivering training.
CSCS Skill Card Holder (Ideally Supervisor level or above).
Competent at undertaking site surveys, site measures and preparing reports.
Good administrative and IT skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes.
Good understanding of Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental management policies and procedures
Knowledge of the ‘Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.’
