An opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated and solution focussed Health and Safety Advisor to join us in delivering the Councils health and safety service. You will work in a small friendly supportive team and your efforts will assist the Council in meeting its statutory health and safety duties across all Council Services.

**Your next role**
- To advise all departments, managers and employees of the Council on their statutory obligations in respect of health and safety.
- To undertake health and safety monitoring (both on and off site) across all front line Operations
- Carry out accident investigations and produce reports
- Provision of health and Safety statistical data and reports for management
- Review risk assessments and method statements providing pragmatic feedback
- Promoting a positive Safety Culture through the development and delivery of health and safety training
- Undertake specialist risk assessments
- Monitor and facilitate the Councils accident reporting system

You will have at least 3 years’ experience of dealing with a wide range of health and safety matters in a diverse organisation. Full qualification in health and safety NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent with the ability to achieve a level 6 Health and Safety qualification. You must have the ability to travel throughout the Borough of Swindon.
- You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act “for the effective performance of a customer-facing role”)._
