**Salary**:£35k - £45k per annum, plus car allowance or company van

**Fibre Splicer - The Role**:
We are looking to recruit a **fibre splicer** to our team, the role will be based out of our birchwood office.
We will provide you with all the tools, training, and systems you need to be able to provide first class customer service to our customers. We have created a working environment where you can be yourself and make a real contribution to how the support teamand wider business functions operate on a day-to-day basis.
You will display 'can do attitude’ and use your 'problem solving 'skills daily. You also won’t be afraid of wearing multiple hats and going above and beyond for our customers. One of our goals is to outshine the competition, you will play a major part inachieving this.
As a Fibre Splicer, you will be responsible for splicing and testing on existing and new build networks. This will include external and internal work.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Fusion splicing
- Live Network Splicing
- Be able to produce box to box sheets and daily measurements.
- New Build (Building new splice points using various underground joint closures and optical distribution frames).
- Produce fibre test report
- Ability to work safely, in line with National Roads & Street Works Act:
- Ability to work in both underground and overhead environments
- Build new splice points using joint closures and optical distribution frames
**Fibre Splicer - What we need from you**:
- Experience of working in a telecommunications infrastructure build environment
- Sound practical knowledge and experience of working on Open-reach duct infrastructure.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Ability to work within a team.
- Experience using OTDR test
- Read and understand splicing schedule
- Have a proven track record of splicing fibre optic cable
