He is looking for an energetic Support Worker who shares his great sense of humour, to join him on these activities and help with his everyday life. **The Role/Client**:
C has Cerebral Palsy but as you will have seen from our introduction, this doesn’t stop him from enjoying life to the full. He lives with his family and twin sister and is a very bright and articulate student attending mainstream school. C enjoys many varied activities such as; rock climbing, theatre, creating arts, horse riding, swimming and riding his trike, so his Support Worker will have a lot of energy to keep up with him.
When indoors, C walks with support or a walker but uses a power or manual wheelchair when he is outside.
You will assist with personal care and will be required to prepare our client’s meals - he uses a neat eater to eat his meals independently. You will be working on a 121 basis with our client.
**About You**:
- You will ideally have two years’ experience working in Care.
- C engages in a lot of activities, and you will need to be physically fit to keep up with this energetic young boy
- You must be a driver able to drive our client’s automatic wheelchair adapted vehicle (over the age of 21 for insurance purposes).
- You will be a kind, reliable caring, proactive and friendly individual who can provide a child-centred approach for our client.
- Full training specific to our client will be provided, and you will be supported by our client’s Case Manager.
**Pay**:
- £15.00 per hour.
**Hours / Shifts**:
**Term Time**:
- 9 hours 20 mins per week.
- Monday and Tuesday - 15:20 to 20:00 (4 hours and 40 mins).
**School Holidays**:
- 24 hours per week.
- Monday and Tuesday - 08:00 to 20:00 (12 hours a day).
**_ Optional bank hours are always available to cover holidays and sickness._**
