**PAT Tester / Junior Tool Fitter**

**up to 28k**

**Birmingham**

**Monday - Friday, 07:00 - 17:00**

RSD Recruitment are working in partnership with a well established, hire business in order to recruit for their next Service Technician in Birmingham

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Conducted routine PAT testing of electrical appliances and hire equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
- Conduct inspections to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs or replacements
- Install, assemble, and test new equipment or components
- Maintain accurate records of service performed, parts used, and time spent on each job
- Communicate with customers to explain repairs, answer questions, and provide recommendations for future maintenance
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations

**Experience**:

- Experience PAT testing electrical equipment
- Experience working within the hire / plant industry or similar is beneficial
- Familiarity with a variety of hand and power tools
- Knowledge of electrical systems and ability to read schematics
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision

**Salary**: Up to £28,000.00 per year
