**Role overview**
An opportunity has arisen for a biostatistician to join the Babraham Bioinformatics group. This post will join a core team of bioinformaticians to aid scientists on the Babraham Research Campus to plan and analyse their experiments.

A suitably motivated statistician will have the ability to guide best practice in the exploration and analysis of biological data. They will provide input into the design of new studies, and will work on data from a wide variety of different experimental techniques.

The post will also contribute to the training programme run by the group, training researchers in the use and understanding of statistics to interpret their data.

This post offers a friendly and flexible working environment. The post can be undertaken as a mix of on-site and remote working, with flexibility in the hours of work each day.

This post can be appointed at two levels - the higher level would suit an experienced statistician with an ability to lead and direct the statistical activities at the institute. The lower level would suit a less experienced statistician who would develop their skillset in post.

Applicants must hold a PhD or have their thesis submitted when commencing the post. Please note that you will be appointed on the starting salary of £31,550 per annum, if you have not yet been awarded your PhD._*
