Skirting World Ltd are looking to recruit an experienced Wood Machinist to join our ever-expanding team.

**About the Role**

As a fast-growing company and one of the largest Skirting and Architrave manufacturers in the UK, we demand absolute professionalism from each and every person within the business and a willingness to embrace continuous improvement and adapt to new systems.

You will be working with one of our experienced Wood Machinists on the setting and running of the moulder machines and shown the process methods of the business. A complete understanding and proof of competency after a given period must be shown for official sign off.

**Experience** in the manufacturing of Skirting and Architrave is essential, particularly experience with similar machinery.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Working from the inhouse built software, setup the moulders using various gauges to achieve the correct profile finish
- Study and learn the 100+ profiles to help identify errors and irregularities
- Identifying by eye, the different widths, lengths and thicknesses to maximise production output
- Carry out daily, weekly and monthly TPM’s on the machinery
- Keep a clean and safe working environment

**Personal Requirements**
- Proficient in computerised methods
- Excellent organisation and communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Self-motivator, capable of working alone
- Willingness to learn
- Capable of lifting heavy lengths of timber
- Proactively work towards team goals

**Working Hours**

40 Hours per week - Monday to Friday 7:00am - 15:30pm
