Gi Group are working with a Machinery Manufacturing company who specialise in producing break discs and clutches for the car automotive industry based in Binley and are looking for a Senior Process Setter to join them. Due to expansion our client are lookingto bring a process setter in to work on the night shift to focus on a new contract that has been secured.
Purpose of the role:
To support the production process and ensure effective, quick and safe setups are in place and to machine and assemble the machining fixtures engineered by our clients technical department.
You will be required to monitor equipment and product closely to detect problems that may arise, and promptly inform the managers to ensure the faults are corrected immediately.
**Duties**:

- Measure on a CMM and evaluate the quality of the machined components
- Have the knowledge in running existing CMM part programs to measure the machine components and evaluate the quality vs customer specifications
- Operate CNC Machines, CNC machine programming (Fanuc)
- Able to understand drawings and customers technical specifications
- Have a strong knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures, inserts and other accessories used on various machines
Skills and Abilities:

- Milling or Turning, CNC or Setter experience is essential
- FLT License is desirable
- Coordinate or manage a small production team
- Strong communication skills
- 5s practise knowledge
