**The Role**:
As a Payroll Assistant you'll be responsible for providing payroll support. You’ll be communicating with clients, delivering a flexible and proactive payroll administration service in line with agreed timescales and service level agreements. Working within a multi-skilled team environment, you will play a critical role in providing a first class, professional service to our clients, recognising the importance of everyone providing a great client experience.

**Responsibilities**:

- Working in a team alongside other Payroll Assistants and Payroll Advisors to ensure client payrolls are managed timely, accurately, and securely.
- Taking responsibility for the client journey, always ensuring service excellence.
- Complete all set tasks accurately and efficiently, adhering to deadlines, instructions, policies and procedures and training as appropriate.
- Knowledge sharing with peers to create a team of payroll experts.

**Requirements**:

- Payroll Experience
- Practice Experience would be preferred
- Sage / Xero experience is essential
- Bright Pay experience would be desirable
- Accounts trial balance for Accountant to complete year ends & Management Accounts
- Excellent telephone manner is essential
- The ability to prioritise workloads as you will be bookkeeping for around 10/15 clients
- Attending client meetings
- PC Skills
