Ent Consultant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitable individual to take up the post of substantive whole time (10PA) Consultant ENT Surgeon within this friendly and cohesive Department of Ear Nose and Throat Surgery.

The post will involve general ENT practice including participation in the current endocrine surgery service. In addition, we seek an individual willing to be involved in development of the Voice service or any other interests that meet our service requirements.

The role will mostly involve undertaking the benign side of the workflow, however, some input into oncology will be required, and we are looking for someone willing to develop the ability to undertake laser resection of small volume laryngeal cancers.

Services at the Royal are part of the ENT Managed Clinical Network linked to the local Tertiary Centre in Sheffield.

Out of hours work involves participation in weekend on call at Sheffield Children’s Hospital which provides the opportunity to gain a high level of paediatric ENT experience.
