If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Public Health service as a Public Health Practitioner - Health Improvement Service Lead.

Our Health Improvement team play a pivotal role in helping people across Wiltshire to improve their health and wellbeing. Through the development, implementation, and evaluation of targeted interventions, you'll contribute to our vision to create stronger and more resilient communities.

This fixed term role is funded by the governments Smokefree Generation Grant and has the potential for extension. The grant is to support local authorities and partners in increasing capacity in providing stop smoking services and support to local residents, in driving down smoking prevalence. This role will increase the capacity of the stop smoking services in the Wiltshire Health Improvement Hub, through the recruitment, training and line management of additional Health Coaches who will work specifically on the stop smoking services within the Hub.

The Public Health Practitioner will work closely with the 3 other Public Health Practitioners within the Wiltshire Health Improvement Hub, to ensure joined up and collaborative service provision. In particular, they will work closely with the Public Health Practitioner - smoking cessation lead within the service, who leads on the service development of stop smoking support for Wiltshire residents. The post will also work closely with other members of the Health Improvement team where relevant.
