Housekeeper

As a Housekeeper at Walmer care centre, you’ll help to create the warm and homely surroundings that are so important to delivering quality care and support. Working with a team of housekeeping staff, you’ll ensure that every room and living space is maintained to the highest standards. The role demands excellent attention to detail.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:
1. To provide a high quality housekeeping service to ensure all areas of the home are cleaned to a high standard.

2. To ensure that all areas of the Care Home are cleaned to a high standard in compliance with the specific cleaning guidelines and schedules and that they effectively meet the residents’ and homes needs.

3. To respect and maintain confidentiality of resident’s personal information at all times, including their right to privacy, dignity and choice.

4. To understand and comply with all statutory and legal requirements that are relevant such as Health & Safety, COSHH, and all aspects of the Health & Social Care Act, to ensure a safe and efficient laundry service in the home. Understand and have an awareness of Infection Control.

Contract length: 4 months

**Salary**: £11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 18 per week
