Optiver is looking for a HR Systems and Payroll Specialist to join the Human Resources team in our London office on a fixed-term 12 month contract. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with proven experience in the HR operations space, who thrives in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. You'll have the chance to work on a variety of strategic and impactful projects for a leading market-maker, including payroll transformation and HRIS and stakeholder management. We're looking for someone who's a self-starter, innovative and able to multi-task as they provide operational HR support.

**What you'll do**:
As an HR Systems and Payroll Specialist you will be supporting the operational HR needs of our UK employee population. This work will include a variety of strategic HR Systems and Payroll projects. In summary, you will:

- Manage the HR Information Systems (Workday) and be responsible for the continuous improvement and automation of HR processes, in addition to promoting our employees and managers to utilise our newly implemented self-service system
- Be a regional HRIS lead for Workday related projects such as local/global integrations and system functionality improvements
- Supporting our local HR Data Analyst on business reporting requests
- Solely oversee our monthly payroll process
- Oversee the HR related systems across Optiver, inclusive but not limited to, payroll, benefits administration, and HR compliance
- Lead our local payroll transformation project to achieve global alignment elaboration on their role/expectations on contribution to this project
- Manage responses to audit requests for HR and Payroll information
- Work closely with the HR Advisory team members to ensure the operational HR support they provide throughout the business is efficient and effective
- Support the team in delivery of the end to end employee lifecycle, driving efficiencies and improvements. Support the wider HR team in delivering our end to end employee lifecycle, continuously driving improvements and process efficiencies
- Be a GDPR champion for the HR department, working closely with the Data Protection Officer to ensure compliance and best practice across processes. - Act as point of contact for data integrity reviews/audits and ensure integrity and compliance of transactional data in Workday.

**Who you are**:

- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Administration, or equivalent experience;
- Working knowledge and previous experience in a wide array of areas within HR such as UK payroll, UK visa & immigration, benefits plans/related policies and associated UK employment law;
- Knowledge and experience of project management and maintaining governance;
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong customer service mentality and high degree of integrity, accountability, and emotional intelligence;
- Working knowledge of HRIS (Workday) including implementation;
- Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and deadlines;
- Previous payroll transformation experience desirable;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software;
- Experience collaborating with colleagues in complex business models across multiple countries and jurisdictions would be desirable.
