TSG is currently looking to recruit a Sales Ledger Clerk to work with an established and reputable manufacturer in Huddersfield.
**About our client**
Our client is an established and reputable run manufacturer that has over 100 years trading history They are industry leaders with regard to the production services that can be tailored to individual needs. Their services see them produce work for retail, sport, interiors, construction and healthcare.
This position will report to the Head of Finance in Huddersfield with a dotted line reporting into the CFO in London.
**Responsibilities**
- Manage the accounting, with the respect of the internal controls.
- Ensure to be compliant with the tax’s local rules.
- Manage month-end closing to include monthly closing entries, review and approval of journal entries, reconciliation of GL accounts.
- Performs any other duties as assigned by the Directors.
- Setting up new jobs as advised by the New Business Team
- Raising customer invoices as agreed with the Project Managers
- Dealing with customer queries
- Chasing payment of overdue invoices
- Allocating payments to invoices on the Accounts System
- Sales Ledger reconciliations.
- Court Claims - LBA’s.
- Weekly debtors report.
- Credit insurance and risk monitoring.
**About you**
- Experience in accounting, finance or related field (AAT will be a plus), a willingness to train would be an advantage.
- At least 3 years’ experience working in a Finance Role and ideally Sales Ledger focused.
- Knowledge of accounting and finance, corporate law, customs regulation.
- Knowledge of UK GAAP standards.
- Knowledge of IFRS standards is a real plus but not essential.
- Good excel skills and experience of using an accounts package.
- You need to be a good all-rounder who enjoys variety.
**What’s on offer**
- FTE salary of £25k pa.
- Core hours: 37.5 hours Monday to Friday.
