**About Our Client**:
Our client based in Brighton, are looking to recruit a new claims assessor. They provide great training resources, all paid for, they are a great company that want you to succeed.

**The Key Responsibilities for a Claims Assessor are**:

- Responsible for timely and accurate assessment, decision making, settlement and communication of Employee Benefits Claims from beginning to end.
- Act independently within agreed authority and service levels. Decision making authority is an essential requirement.
- Provide exceptional levels of customers service to policyholders, clients and intermediaries in a professional and friendly manner.
- Manage the claims relationship for all customers within an agreed portfolio.
- Ensure all aspects of the claims function, including complaints are dealt with in accordance with all compliance.
- Identify and investigate potential fraudulent claims.
- Manage claim appeals within agreed process and authority level.

**The Successful Applicant**:
**The Successful Claims Assessor will be**:

- Applicants must 100% have Group Income Protection (GIP) experience of at least 2 years
- Must understand early intervention
- You will be able to demonstrate technical ability with claims assessment and decision making.
- Knowledge of Medical or Scheme Underwriting would be beneficial.
- Claims decision making authority is an essential requirement.
