- St Francis Xavier Primary School is situated close to Doncaster City centre with close links with the A1 and other major motorway routes. It is a vibrant and aspirational school with a proud and visible Catholic ethos underpinning a positive approach to both learning and behaviour.
- Governors are seeking to appoint an experienced, highly motivated SENDCo. This is permanent post.

**THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE ABILITY TO**:

- Demonstrate they have the necessary skills, knowledge, understanding to implement new ideas, monitor, and feedback progress to individual staff members and improve outcomes for pupils with SEND.
- Support fully our Catholic ethos, vision and values;
- Be confident in leading this important area and to spend time delivering training, interventions, one to one support, be confident in staff feedback and taking swift action if necessary
- Need to be able to liaise with external agencies
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with parents
- Be creative in inspiring, nurturing and motivating our children and staff;
- Have an awareness of legislation and the local offer
- Support parents as well as pupils through any assessments or SEND reviews
- Needs to have excellent organisational and communication skills to work with agencies and parents and knowledge of interpreting data to understand progress and attainment for pupils with SENDMust be a qualified teacher and have a National award in Special Educational Needs CoordinationPrepared to be hardworking and well organised
- Be committed to achieving the best outcome for every child;
- Ensure consistency of practice, standards and expectations;
- Be committed to their own continuing professional development;
- Be prepared to engage actively and fully with the wider life of school and the development of others;
