Our client is looking for an Operator to join their site in Rawcliffe Yorkshire, on a long-term contract to support the business with receiving and dispatching of their products.

Key Responsibilities Include:

- To optimise all operations involved in product storage and handling
- To ensure that operational records where required are accurately maintained
- To assist in the development and review of standard operating procedures, as required
- To fulfil any role, within the Operations Department, for which appropriate training has been given
- To ensure that any work undertaken is carried out to the standards required by the sites management
- To liaise with all outside agencies, if necessary, on all relevant matters associated to product storage and handling
- To ensure that housekeeping standards are maintained
- To communicate effectively with appropriate personnel to ensure the efficient performance of the Operations Department

This role focuses heavily on Health and Safety, you will be expected to:

- To ensure that operation procedures, where applicable, are adhered to
- Be fully familiar with the requirements of the On-Site Emergency Plan.
- Ensure all safety and environmental control procedures are compiled to
- Be fully conversant with products handled on the site paying particular attention to their inherent risks
- Ensure drivers and contractors comply with site safety rules
- Report all incidents and near misses in line with Company procedures
- Participate in environmental, safety, quality and other meetings as required

About you:
The successful applicant will ideally have 1-year relevant experience in a regulated industry with knowledge of COSHH or COMAH. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are a must.

The role consists of 12-hour shifts with a mix of days and nights on a rotational basis. 40-48 hours per week
