I am partnering with an international construction business who are looking for a Senior Project Accountant to work with the Finance Business Partner and the Senior Project Accountant to provide financial support and challenge assumptions in current/upcomingprojects in the business unit. It is a varied role with a lot of different business partnering aspects both internally and externally, and will need someone who can get to Head Office in Watford occasionally as well as commuting to site in London to be presentwith other departments.

**You will be responsible for**:

- Building and managing relationships with partner and internal finance teams
- Ensure projects (including JV's) are set up correctly with policies and specific agreements
- Ownership of the basic accounting, reporting and forecasting including production of management accounts
- Work with Group Finance and Finance Service Delivery to ensure financial reporting timetables and controls adherence
- Cash flow forecasting modelling
- Billing administration and cash management alongside shared service teams
- To ensure that all projects costs are managed and controlled in line with internal control policies and procedures.
- Reconciliation of actuals & Journal posting governance
- Timely and accurate completion of budgets and forecasts with comprehensive trend and KPI analysis including management of financial risk and opportunity registers
- Support the review of project performance, cost adjustments and EoL forecasts
- Single point of contact for JV in interfacing with shared service teams (e.g AP, AR and tax) and timely processing
- Internal audit support - right cost to the right place at right time, in line with the contract
- Contribute to the external audit process and liaising with audit teams as necessary
- Participate and actively contribute to functional system and process improvement initiatives.

**We are looking for**:

- Qualified Accountant CIMA/ACCA/ACA
- Good Excel skills (Pivot, lookup, formula, formatting,)
- Highly motivated, committed individual with a track record of delivering good quality finance outputs.
- Analytical review and presenting to senior leaders
- Working in civil engineering/construction/project accounting would be advantageous
