Working for a successful firm of chartered accountants who provide accountancy and related financial services. The business continues to grow due to the company's progressive culture and openness to change, along with its persistent drive to create and offer new services to its client members.
As the **Accounts Assistant,** you will play a pivotal role in supporting the team of Accountants with all aspects of the business, including the preparation of accounts, self-assessments, tax and VAT returns for a varied portfolio of sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
You will support the team to provide reliable, timely, and accurate financial information whilst maintaining a personal and tailored approach to individual client requirements.

**What we need from you?**
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts.
- Bookkeeping for a variety of small and large clients.
- Posting purchase invoices and sales invoices.
- Matching bank transactions to these to various software.
- Credit Control and managing supplier payments.
- Bank and Credit card reconciliation.
- Preparing the quarterly VAT Returns for each client.

**What you need to succeed?**
- Previous experience in a similar Bookkeeping, Accounts Assistant, or Trainee Accountant role.
- Ideally you will be studying towards AAT, or ACCA, however, this is not essential.
- It would be advantageous to come from a similar chartered accountancy/practice background.
