Main roles

Operations utilising press furnaces and forging equipment

Perform regular, in process inspection of forging at interim levels of manufacturing

Maintain production records

Minimum of 2 years forging experience

Overhead crane licence

Ability to read and interpret, in English, process sheets, shop orders and instructions

Ability to accurately visually align and measure forgings

Basic computer skills

Ability to access, operate and ensure safe working practice for overhead cranes to the appropriate standards

Duties will also include preventative maintenance work, including lubricating manipulators, bogies, cranes etc on a regular basis, and a general responsibility for material movement.

ensure that the accurate completion of all records, work returns and other documentation as required by management for all work carried out during each shift

Ensure that all furnaces are reviewed and signed for and where relevant any faults are reported to the appropriate person and acted upon within a reasonable timescale

Help to cover short staff on heat treatment when required

All employees may be required from time to time to work outside their normal range of activities or hours and or in another department.

All operatives are required to work to the highest standard and will be willing to work towards their own personal development with support from other staff and management as well as encouraging the development of other team members.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £12.48 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
