Transport Route Planner

This role plays a key part of**the planning system**, building and planning**home delivey routes** to customers for own fleet and sub-contractor vehicles ensuring maximum use of resources in a **cost-effective manner**.

**As our Transport Route Planner you will be responsible for**:

- planning orders / delivery routes using company or Client provided software including but not limited to Paragon Route Planning in accordance with Client deadlines and parameters. maintain master data within Paragon, updating sites, delivery vehicle resources, shift patterns and mapping data in line with business requirements- use site and driver feedback to amend and update mapping to include regional ‘rush hour’ zones and vehicle restrictions- monitor and review activity levels to identify potential cost reduction/efficiency opportunities- update KPI information and management reporting as required.
The role is a full time, **permanent**and **home-based** position working on **night shift **40 hours per week on a **7-week rolling rota** as detailed below:

- first block of 7 weeks - working Monday to Friday, days off Sat and Sunday;
- second block of 7 weeks - working Saturday to Wednesday, days off Thursday and Friday.
Shift times**:18.30pm
- 03.00am**.

**What are we looking for in our ideal Transport Route Planner ?**

You will be computer literate with planning experience looking to develop your skills and abilities working in a fast-paced environment.

You will also have:

- knowledge of routing and driving hour's legislation- experience of planning in Paragon software desirable, ideally in a home delivery environment- sound geographical knowledge of the UK transport infrastructure- advanced MS Excel skills- ability to work to strict deadlines and make decisions whilst under pressure.
