You don’t need experience to become a Residential Support Worker, you just need to want to make a difference for young people who have not been given the life chances they deserve.
We are looking for people who are caring, patient, responsible but able to have fun and make our young people’s lives more enjoyable. Residential Support Workers are supported to carry out an essential and varied role to provide individual care and support to each young person in placement. We take on the parental role for the young people as co-operate parents, this includes taking young people to education, appointments, do activities with them, administer medication alongside ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed to evidence our work to the governing bodies. Don’t forget as a co-operate parent you also have to do the household tasks as you would at home.
The young people are always the top of our agenda, we are looking for Residential Support Workers, who shares our vision to promote each young person to achieve the best possible outcome for themselves to enable them to go on and make a future for themselves and thrive.
Previous experience within the care setting would be great, but as mentioned we all start somewhere so this isn’t essential as we offer full training for all roles, so if you believe you have the right qualities and are resilience come and join us to make a difference.

Oak Childcare Plus is a very small organisation who are registered with Ofsted, we have 3
bedded services which offer 1:1 staffing ration’s enabling the young people to have the
attention and time from staff they need to thrive. We are within commuting distance of Wolverhampton, Telford, Dudley, Stafford, Cannock, Walsall and surrounding areas.
