**Position Summary**:
This role sits as a key member of the Group Finance team, assisting with the preparation of the half year and year end Group financial statements and supporting with audit process.

**The Opportunity**:
Reporting to the Assistant Group Financial Controller, the Group Financial Accountant will be responsible for the preparation of the holding company management and statutory accounts, business partnering with Legal and Finance departments, as well as developing and enhancing sustainability reporting.

This is a high profile position which offers an exciting challenge to someone seeking an opportunity in industry.

**Experience Requirements**:

- Support the Group audit process liaising with external auditors.
- Be a key member of the year end and half year consolidation team understanding and preparing consolidation entries for the Group management accounts
- Take responsibility for the preparation of the holding company accounts, including month end reporting, expenditure analysis, accrual calculations, variance analysis, budget and forecasts
- Partner with internal teams to incorporate performance and financial metrics into their risk management, financial planning and analysis and ESG/sustainability reporting
- Assist in improving the control environment of the Group, reviewing and updating sections of the Group accounting policies and procedures
- Will be degree educated and qualified accountant (preferably ACA)
- Will possess well-developed analytical and Excel skills
- Demonstrate high level influencing and senior stakeholder engagement and management skills
