**Continuous Improvement Lead**

Cambion Electronics are a high-end, AS 9100-accredited, precision manufacturer with substantial track record in aerospace, military, industrial, medical, petrochemical, instrumentation and industrial markets. Customer quality is at the heart of everything we do.

Role Scope:

- To lead and coordinate the improvement of the shop floor manufacturing activities. Ensuring that the product produced meets the quality standards required to minimise quality costs and maximise customer satisfaction ensuring adherance to procedures, processes and internal specifications.
- Instil a culture of continuous improvement through a focus on improving products, systems, operations and shop floor processes.
- Lead on lean improvement activities, looking at safety, quality, delivery, productivity, cost and efficiency, delivering benefits to support customer satisfaction in all departments as required.
- Take responsibilty for implementing a proven problem solving process that can identify root causes.
- Deliver sustainable world-class lean manufacturing methods and processes across the factory that delivers improvement: improved product quality control, product yields and reduced losses.

Person Specification:
1. Educated to HNC/D level with mechanical, electrical engineering or quality related discipline

2. Background in improvement activities (Continuous Improvement/Business Improvement/Process Improvement within manufacturing or production industry

3. Good experience with lean manufacturing techniques and tools

4. Ability to use and demonstrate the use of quality tools such as 5S, Ishikawa, SPC (and statistical analysis problem solving techniques), 8D, IRB, Kanban.

5. Understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes

6. Analytical mind, and capable of solving manufacturing challenges including route case analysis investigations with a structured approach to tasks and project management

7. Motivated with a positive “can do” attitude.

8. Personal and professional skills to be credible and generate confidence in others and to make a big impact quickly on quality improvements

9. Demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement.

10. Team player.

11. Training and coaching staff/apprentices.

This position is full time and permanent and we are looking for a motivated person to join our team.
