To excel in this role, you'll need an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Installing and Commissioning Electrical Systems & Equipment, along with City & Guilds 2360 Part 1 and 2 certificates. Additionally, you should hold a relevant qualification in the current edition of the BS 7671 IET Requirements for Electrical Installations, as well as a Level 3 Certificate in Inspection, Testing, and Certification of Electrical Installations (2391-2394/5 or equivalent). Post-qualification or apprenticeship experience in an electrical services organisation, along with assessor qualifications (D32, D33, A1, or TAQA), good IT skills, and JIB Registered/Card (Approved or Electrician grade) status, are also essential. Familiarity with all AM2 Assessment resources and requirements would be invaluable, as would a Certificate in Education, a recognized Health and Safety qualification, and Internal Verifier qualifications (D34 or V1).
