Our client is currently recruiting an experienced Transport Planner to join their busy operation.

Reporting into the contract lead, you will review all workloads and allocate to own workforce and sub contractors.

This role is a very exciting opportunity to have a real say in the development of contracts and also grow within the company.

Key Responsibilities of the role include:

- Managing the workload between own resources and external couriers
- Keeping in communication with customers and suppliers of any delays
- Allocating jobs to external providers and building relationships
- Updating spreadsheets and management on performance
- Ensure customer commitments are met, working with internal teams and executing operational tasks as needed
- Managing customer expectations and provide an excellent customer service experience

You will have experience working within a busy transport planning role, logistics experience within a transport operation, be self motivated and be decisive as well as the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, customers and suppliers.

This role is a real opportunity to develop skills and develop your career for the long term.

**Salary**: £30,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
