We are currently seeking an environmentally aware, passionate and self-motivated Support Services Supervisor, Sustainability to join our Food and Beverage Support Services team.

The FBSS team are a mighty and dynamic crew; vital to the smooth running of our kitchen operations across the estate, they ensure all of our Culinary and Food & Beverage teams have the equipment they need in the right place, at the right time, cleaned to the highest standard.

The on target earning potential for this role is £26,412 / annual salary based on a 37.5 hour contract - comprising a base salary of £22,912, plus a qualified estimate of £3,500 in gratuities and service charge.* As a member of the Gleneagles team, you will also enjoy a fantastic range of perks, benefits and rewards.

Here's a bit more detail on what we see you doing in this role:
Focused on sustainability and waste management, you’ll play a part in recording and monitoring our waste streams and the impact both environmentally and financially to our business
Working alongside our kitchen and service teams, you’ll ensure all of the required daily check lists and work sheets are in order, recorded and files, with supreme efficiency, setting our standards high, with the team following your lead
Allocating the daily tasks per shift for monitoring and recording, in line with our daily business requirements
Guiding and coaching new team members around waste streams and their importance
Reading and understanding the uplift data provided by the waste contractor, with the long term goal of significantly decreasing our waste levels
Ensuring the safe removal, segregation, and storage of all recycling materials
Building strong working relationships with our teams across the estate, always warm, professional, helpful and doing everything you can to exceed their expectations; playing your part in making sure our service is 5 star in every way
You’ll be a night owl some days and an early bird on others, available for shifts which start early or finish late, in line with the needs of our business and operation

**The kind of person we're looking for**:
Ideally, you already have a good general knowledge of kitchens within hospitality and back of house operations and you’re also experienced in food hygiene and Health and Safety regulations
You have a strong interest in sustainability and the environment, with food waste a particular interest and you’re keen to share your knowledge and to guide others and develop their understanding of our various waste streams
Used to working in fast paced settings, you work well under pressure and thrive on challenge
Preferably, you hold a full driving licence however this isn’t essential
Highly motivated and possessing an immense sense of pride in your work; you're passionate about delivering the high standards for our guests in line with the Gleneagles brand
You have a positive “can do” attitude to solving problems in a professional and courteous manner
A strong team player with great communication skills and an enthusiastic approach; you're well organised and punctual with an eagle eye for detail
You want to be part of a team that works hard, supports each other and above all has fun along the way
