- Thurs 08.00am
- 17.00pm and Fri 08.00- 16.30pm)
Job Purpose**:
The company are looking for an Accounts Assistant with a sales ledger focus to join and work within a busy Finance Department. Your main duties will be to support the sales ledger function

**Key Responsibilities as the sales ledger assistant**:

- Management and organisation of the finance inbox and filing of all communication in an organised and structured way.
- Supporting accounts receivable in cash allocations and customer reconciliations
- Reviewing and processing staff expenses in accordance with company policy.
- Weekly and month end deliverables
- Must be able to work under pressure & prioritise own workload
- Ad-hoc duties as required

**Invoices**
- Receiving invoices from suppliers
- Chasing invoices to ensure they are approved as per company policy
- Checking the invoices to the PO and agreeing the values
- Processing and coding the invoice accurately according to the chart of accounts
- Ensuring VAT is coded correctly

**Remittances/Statements**
- Ensure remittances are sent to the suppliers so accounts are maintained on both side
- Supplier statement reconciliations

**Account Maintenance**
- Setting up of any new supplier details according to the company terms
- Maintenance of supplier details as per any correspondence received

**Monthly Tasks**
- Reconciling Aged Debtors
- Assisting in preparation of accruals for month end account
- Reconciliation of any other Accounts Payable balance sheet accounts
- Work with accountant to clear bank reconciliations

**Experience**:
Essential
- Previous experience in a Finance position, ideally within sales ledger

Desirable:

- Previous use of SAP & Dynamics D365
